PRESS RELEASE

Vaubren sets out an integrated European architecture for air defence against drones

Aircraft, sensing, electronic warfare and command software designed as one system, with a person in command of every decision.

21 October 2026. Vaubren, a European defence technology company incorporated in Bulgaria, today set out its approach to air defence against drones: aircraft, sensing, electronic warfare and command software designed as one system rather than bought as separate products.

Vaubren is developing five systems. Headland is a self-powered sensing tower for coasts, ports, borders and critical sites. Stillpoint is a portable counter-drone electronic warfare unit. Cobra is a fast counter-drone interceptor. Vanguard is a vertical take-off strike and interception aircraft. Citadel is the command and control software that brings them into one live air picture, with a person in command of every decision.

“Europe is facing mass drones with tools that were never designed to work together. We are building sensing, electronic warfare, interceptors and command software as one system, in Europe, so the people responsible for a site or a border keep control of every decision.”

Rafael Zard, founder and chief executive, Vaubren

Vaubren plans Arsenal, a development, testing and manufacturing campus in Bulgaria, inside the European Union and NATO. All Vaubren systems are in development, and product images are design visualisations.
